The 8th graders started their year with an important lesson on Internet Safety. Go to www.safekids.com to learn about the many things you can do to be safe on the internet. This is a great site for students and parents. Check it out!
They also learned about Blogs and Vlogs. They learned the pros and cons of blogging. They also discussed the safety issues involved in using blogs and putting information about themselves on blogs.
Soon, the students will start their "My Life" project. They are creating PowerPoint presentations about themselves. They are scanning photos brought from home or bringing in digital photos on CD's. These projects take a long time to create. When they are done, they will present them to teachers, parents, friends, and relatives.
